In 2024, WeView’s “Zero-Carbon Smart Integrated Energy Center at Yangpu” was listed as an “Advanced Energy Storage Pilot Project” by the National Energy Administration (NEA). This project is the only one in Shanghai to receive such an endorsement and designation. Located near the Huangpu River and adjacent to trendy commercial zones and industrial heritage sites, the project requires energy storage solutions that are non-flammable, non-explosive, eco-friendly, and flexible, with a focus on long-duration energy storage capabilities. WeView’s zinc-iron flow battery, designed specifically for long-duration energy storage, boasts inherent safety and low Levelized Cost of Storage (LCOS).
The Zero-Carbon Smart Integrated Energy Center incorporates various innovative technologies such as photovoltaic systems, energy storage, smart energy management, and carbon footprint analysis. WeView’s zinc-iron flow batteries enable the center to efficiently store and release solar energy, enhance grid flexibility, provide high-quality electricity to urban infrastructure, and achieve zero-carbon objectives through “multi-energy complementarity.”
